Hello everyone! I was referred to this mailing list by Mr. Eric J. Korpela after I sent him an email to inform him that PrimeCoin ( http://ppcoin.org/static/primecoin-paper.pdf) might be a very good addition to theBOINC Project. Eric specifically told me that Mr. Henri Heinonen might be interested in the PrimeCoin concept.
PrimeCoin is the first crypto-currency that actually solves a real world problem as new coins are mined: PrimeCoin finds chains of prime numbers known as Cunningham primes. PrimeCoin also offers the opportunity for participants in the BOINC project to earn a small amount of revenue (the currency denomination of PrimeCoin is XPM) for their CPU cycles.
