I've updated several files to us the DB abstraction layer in the last few weeks,
but am not working on it now.
There are still a few files that make direct mysql_* calls, notably
inc/uotd.inc
inc/forum_banishment_vote.inc
user/server_status.php
... and quite a few in ops/.

David, attached is the patch for (1) for ops/create_forums.php
I've rewritten db.inc and db_conn.inc to check for mysqli and use it if
available or
use old-style mysql if not, but there are several places (not just ops) that
use the
old stuff still so I don't want to commit anything on (2) before (1) and other
related code is done - and I don't want to double code this if someone else is
working on it too.
