It should read: "The decision to provide an a package through backports is with the maintainer of that package. Other than with the stable release, the package had little opportunity to experience peer review. We trust our maintainers, but mistakes and unexpected incompatibilities may happen. I could not test cuda on it, though. To render the backports fully tested, I would have needed help. But if it builds, why shouldn't it work.
