Hi Some suggestions.
Instead of not sending image/video news at all to older clients, send something like: title: original title text: Older BOINC Managers can't show this news item. Read this news item at the project's website. <link> This way volunteers still get notified of new news, even if they can't read it in Manager. (Feel free to change the text to something better.)
