It is hardly fair to combine all the Linux versions and compare that to each individual Windows version. If you want to use the combined total and call it "Linux" then you really need to add all the windows versions together and just have "Windows". XP is no longer supported by Microsoft, but I can't think of anyone I know who ever called Microsoft for support for XP.
