Seems like a Firefox bug.
I changed the logo URL to https.
I'm currently trying to get a new SSL cert.
The University office in charge of this isn't returning emails :-(

Disabling hardware acceleration does not change the problem.
A couple of other minor - not entirely CSS / bootstrap - but website issues
Loading mixed (insecure) display content
"http://boinc.berkeley.edu/logo/boinc_logo.png" - this makes every page
"insecure" see
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Security/Mixed_content - i
suspect it should be "https://boinc.berkeley.edu/logo/boinc_logo.png"
This site makes use of a SHA-1 Certificate; it's recommended you use
(before 2017) certificates with signature algorithms that use hash
functions stronger than SHA-1 see
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Security/Weak_Signature_Algorithm
Cheers
