HANOVER, Germany, June 26 (Reuters) - Argentina coach Jose Pekerman recalled
Javier Saviola to partner Luciano Figueroa up front in Sunday's Confederations
Cup semi-final against Mexico.
Carlos Tevez, who started the last Group A game against Germany, was dropped to
the bench for the match to decide who would go through to face Brazil in the
final in Frankfurt on Wednesday.
Pekerman opted for Gabriel Milito to replace the suspended Walter Samuel at
centre-back.
Mario Santana, who was nursing a hamstring injury, was fit enough to come in to
replace Lucas Bernardi in midfield.
Mexico's Argentine coach Ricardo La Volpe was able to name captain Rafael
Marquez in the centre of defence for his first start of the tournament, with
the Barcelona player now recovered from his groin strain.
La Volpe also recalled Jared Borgetti, who scored the winner in the 1-0 victory
over Brazil, and playmaker Zinha, after both sat out the goalless draw with
Greece.
Mexico were looking to extend their unbeaten run to 21 matches.
Brazil beat Germany 3-2 in the first semi-final in Nuremberg on Saturday.
