Strachan insists spirit is strong

Celtic manager Gordon Strachan says team spirit is still strong at the club
despite a poor start to the season.

Strachan remains realistic about his side's chances of over-turning the 5-0
deficit against Tuesday night's Champions League opponents Artmedia.

"It's wrong to question the team spirit. The team is still hurting but we
have to get over it," he said.

"We have to try and target two goals in the first half and see what happens
after that."

Strachan stressed the need for caution despite requiring six goals to go
through.

"We have to watch what we do in the first 10 minutes," he said.

"We don't want to concede. That would make it even more impossible that it
is by losing a goal.

"Bratislava were a good team who played great on the night. We are a good
side that played badly on the night so we have to hope there is a reverse of
that."

We will play defensively but we would like to win this game as well
Artmedia captain Balazs Borbely

"The players knew exactly what they did wrong, which disappointed me because
I wanted to be angry.

"But they put their hands up and admitted that they can do better and owned
up to their individual mistakes."

Artmedia Bratislava captain Balazs Borbely is taking nothing for granted
ahead of the return leg.

The Slovakians arrived in Glasgow on Monday morning to defend their 5-0 lead
from last week's first leg.

But Borbely says that qualification for the next round is not a certainty.

"We scored five goals in the first leg so Celtic can score five, anything is
possible," he said.

"We will play defensively but we would like to win this game as well.

"We have respect (for Celtic) but we aren't worried. We haven't played in
front of 60,000 fans before and the other players are looking forward to
it."

Artmedia's victory in Bratislava owed much to a hat-trick by Juraj Halenar
but Borbely expects the striker will come under closer scrutiny at Parkhead.

He said: "It is possible Halenar will score again but the Celtic players
will be watching him this time."

Artmedia midfielder Jan Kozak is confident though that his team will
progress.

"There will be 60,000 fans there but we had a very good result in the first
leg and we came here to get into the next round," he said.
