Fulham midfielder Papa Bouba Diop's continuing ankle injury again rules him
out of action.
Claus Jensen, Moritz Volz and Steed Malbranque all remain in the treatment
room, while goalkeeper Mark Crossley is a doubt with his hamstring injury. A
hamstring complaint may also force out Aston Villa striker James Milner.
Fellow front man Luke Moore picked up a knock to his leg on Boxing Day,
while Olof Melberg (hamstring) and Kevin Phillips (ankle) remain
unavailable.

injury, and winger Laurent Robert, who was sent off against West Ham.
Skipper Dejan Stefanovic (knee) is struggling to be fit, while Vincent
Pericard and Salif Diao are both out.

Defender Richard Dunne could earn a recall to Manchester City's starting
line-up after coming on as a substitute in the 4-3 defeat at Wigan. And Andy
Cole, who scored a late goal for Stuart Pearce's side in that game, is
another tipped to start the match. Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien will
miss the trip because of a heel injury. Defender Ricardo Carvalho (Achilles)
is also on the sidelines, while Damien Duff (also Achilles) and Asier del
Horno (leg) could return.

Blackburn look set to be without Andy Todd after he limped out of the win at
Middlesbrough with a knee injury. But Lucas Neill, Paul Dickov and Morten
Gamst Pedersen are all considered for selection, while Tugay is banned.
Sunderland have been boosted by the return of full-back Nyron Nosworthy
after his one-match ban. But right-back Stephen Wright is likely to miss out
once more with a calf problem, while Stephen Elliott's back complaint also
keeps him out.

defender Ledley King faces an anxious wait over the groin injury he picked

knocks in that game. Wigan boss Paul Jewell has no fresh injury concerns for
the match, saying there were only "one or two knocks" after the Manchester
City win. Defender Emerson Thome remains on the sidelines with a fractured
cheekbone.
