Portsmouth confirm takeover plans
Portsmouth are struggling to avoid relegation
Portsmouth have confirmed they have reached an agreement with Alexandre
Gaydamak, the
son of a Russian billionaire, over the club's ownership.
The struggling Premiership outfit said they had agreed a deal "in
principle ...over the
future shareholding and development of the club".
Gaydamak, the son of financier Arcadi Gaydamak, already owns Israeli club
Beitar
Jerusalem.
He wants to buy the club from chairman Milan Mandaric in a £30m takeover
bid.
