Milan's Amoroso deal delayed to Friday

MILAN, Italy (AFP) - Sao Paulo striker Marcio Amoroso will sign for AC Milan
on Friday, one day later than previously scheduled, the Serie A club said.
The 32-year-old Brazilian underwent a medical but must wait until Friday for
the results of the tests.
Amoroso has plenty of experience of Italian football having spent three
seasons with Udinese where he scored 39 goals before moving to Parma where a
two-year injury-plagued stay resulted in just four goals.
"I'm really happy to be back in Italy after a five year break," Amoroso said
on his arrival here.
"I hope everything's set for me to play for AC Milan," he added.
"Schevchenko, Inzaghi, Gilardino are three big stars and I'm thrilled to be
able to play alongside them in this team."
Amoroso has been signed to fill the void left by Christian Vieri, who this
month moved to French club Monaco.
