Despite that 0-1 loss at the San Siro, Ancelotti is still very confident that Milan can still beat Barclona here at the Nou Camp. Perhaps he drew his conclusion by looking at that 1-3 loss Barcelona suffered here at the hands on Atletico Madrid on the 05-02-06 (Barca's one and only defeat here). Nevertheless, his chances rest very much on the late fitness that Kaka, Nesta and Cafu had to undergo before he names the starting 11. As it is he will be without Ambrosini who is out with a broken leg.
Another factor that Milan supporters can rely on is that Milan has never been beaten in the semi-finals and getting to Paris for the final showdown will be their 3rd in the last 4 years. But Barca's last season's debacle will be the driving force that will take the best out of their players. They are already quite assured of the La Liga crown and this CL title will definitely make it a crowning glory for them.
Rijkaar will miss Xavi Hernandez who is just back to training but still unfit for such a tough match. Likewise his young star Lionel Messi is also out whilst Oleguer is suspended. In fact Rijkaard's fears (a blessing to the ears of Ancelotti) is the fact that 3 of his key players (Puyol, Marquez and van Bommel) are just a card away from missing out on the final if they receive one today and Barca goes through to play Arsenal! Apparently that could stifle the best form them to the advantage of Ancelotti. But since Rijkaard, the Dutch manager may want to leave out a handful and Deco could be fielded instead of Bommel.
On paper, it looks like a tough match when it reality it will be a stroll for the home side if the visitors cannot improve on that insipid display like they did at the San Siro. Bet on the away side to win easily!
