The first fight between Shane Mosley and Fernando Vargas was stopped in
round 10 due to tremendous swelling around Vargas' left eye. Vargas contends
that head-butts caused the swelling. Mosley insists it was repeated right

ESPN's Dan Rafael reports that negotiations are underway that could lead to
a fight later this year between undefeated middleweight champ Jermain Taylor
and undefeated "Contender" champ Sergio Mora. The fight makes sense for both
fighters. There are challengers more deserving of a title shot than Mora but
none that will earn Taylor a bigger payday due to the exposure Mora received
in winning the "The Contender" on network television . . .
