The first knockout stage draws for this season's UEFA Champions League and
UEFA Cup will be held at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday 15
December.

*Draw times
*The pairings for the first knockout round of the UEFA Champions League, and
the Round of 32 and Round of 16 of the UEFA Cup will be made during
ceremonies at the House of European Football starting from 12.00CET and
13.00CET respectively. Both draws will be broadcast live on uefa.com.

*How it works
*The UEFA Champions League draw will see group winners paired off with
runners-up from another group, with the latter playing the first legs at
home. Teams from the same country cannot meet each other. The first UEFA Cup
draw will see the winners of one group playing the third-placed team from
another section, while teams entering the competition from the UEFA
Champions League will face group runners-up. The group winners and
runners-up will play their respective second legs at home while, in all
ties, clubs from the same association must be kept apart.
*Visual feast*

The full visual identity of the 2006/07 UEFA Champions League final in
Athens will be presented during the opening moments of the draw ceremony.
Media representatives wishing to attend the draws have to apply via email to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] before midday on Thursday 14 December.
