Vol XXIX NO. 277 Friday 22nd December 2006 Inter Milan's Bahrain friendly clash rescheduled
By RAMI HULAYYEL BAHRAIN's national soccer team's friendly match with Italy's top Serie A club Inter Milan has been rescheduled for January 6 at 6pm at the National Stadium in Riffa. The match was earlier scheduled to be played on January 5. Nick Bradburry, events and broadcasting manager at SP Middle East which is organising and promoting this match, said the Italian club will arrive in Bahrain as scheduled on January 2 on a private jet. "We have almost arranged everything for the visiting side and we are expecting a full-house at the match," said Bradburry. Tickets for the match are also ready and will be available next week at the stadium and other landmarks around the island. The organisers are yet to decide on the prices of the tickets. According to Bradburry, the current Italian league leaders squad will include 20 to 25 players. The team will have a daily training session at the National Stadium starting on the day of their arrival. "We are looking forward to making this event a special one. We are also planning to host similar high-profile friendly matches in the next couple of years," said Bradburry. The company is also hoping to organise a beach soccer tournament in Bahrain next summer. Further details of this event will be revealed soon. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
