Siena held Lazio at the Olimpico.

            Serie A: Post-Match Comments Sunday 14 January, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------

            Atalanta 5-1 Livorno
Stefano Colantuono: "I'd say we did pretty well, as after such a
long break it's difficult to get right back on track. We played a brilliant
game against a tough Livorno side with experienced players. It's more than a
good result to reach the halfway stage with 24 points. Cristiano Doni has been
a revelation for us."
President Aldo Spinelli: "In my 22 years in football I have never
been so humiliated and ashamed. The team did not prepare adequately for this
game and these are the consequences. I am sorry to fire him, but at Christmas I
had told Daniele Arrigoni to take the side to a training camp. I am embarrassed
and will quit Livorno, but first I have to sort out this squad."

            Cagliari 1-0 Ascoli
Franco Colomba: "It was a game of two halves. We played well in the
first half, but struggled a bit more after the break. We've finally been able
to find all three points and the warmth of the home fans. We still need to work
on our attack, especially in terms of stamina."
Nedo Sonetti: "We had some problems in the opening 45 minutes, as
some players like Massimo Bonanni and Gigi Di Biagio were making their debuts,
so they needed time to gel with their new teammates. Things went better in the
second half, but we were lacking that extra touch of determination."

            Chievo 2-1 Catania
Gigi Del Neri: "The team played well today, even if we conceded an
entirely avoidable goal and Catania put us under pressure. Armando Pantanelli
was fantastic in making life difficult for us, but we managed to react and turn
the result around for a deserved victory."
Pasquale Marino: "We certainly weren't brilliant early on, but were
able to create several scoring opportunities and took the lead. We didn't run
many risks after the break, but unfortunately were punished by Chievo's goals.
Considering the performances, I believe a draw would've been the right result."

            Messina 1-1 Roma
Bruno Giordano: "This is a very important point for us. It would've
been a blow losing to Roma, because their lead came about when we had a player
down injured. We scored from the penalty spot, but were denied another earlier
shout on Sergio Floccari. The last month has been wracked with fear and serious
injuries, so the Christmas break came at the right time."
Luciano Spalletti: "There are regrets, because we deserved much
more from this match. We should've sealed the points earlier against a team
that didn't create many problems for us. In the first half they were organised
and we were unable to pass the ball around as we usually do. It's true the
nine-point gap from Inter is a big one, but we will keep fighting."

            Milan 3-1 Reggina
Carlo Ancelotti: "These three consecutive victories have put us
back in the race for a Champions League spot, even if there are teams above us
who have a game in hand. We have discovered consistency in our results and must
continue along this path. Next week's encounter with Lazio is decisive and we
must prepare as best we can."
Walter Mazzarri: "It's the same as our performance against Inter,
we played very well and still emerged defeated from San Siro. Apart from the
final minutes, Milan hardly ever troubled us. We made some silly mistakes,
especially on the third goal with a gift from our player. Basically, we won it
for them."

            Palermo 2-0 Udinese
Francesco Guidolin: "I think that reaching the halfway stage on 38
points is the best Christmas present I could ask for and the best answer to
President Maurizio Zamparini and the fans. I know this city and that I must get
results. We have great faith in Andrea Caracciolo and these games can help him
find his feet. Up until now he has been sacrificed because Amauri was having an
extraordinary campaign."
Giovanni Galeone: "We lost against a truly great squad. Now that we
have so many players missing, the Rosanero are superior to us. I don't think
I'll be fired, as the club has faith in me and I have done relatively well in
Udine. Clearly, though, if certain results don't arrive then some decisions
will become inevitable."

            Sampdoria 0-0 Fiorentina
Walter Novellino: "We played well against a top side. If it weren't
for some bad luck in certain moments of the match, we would have won. We are in
good shape both physically and tactically, a completely different team to what
we were a few weeks ago."
Cesare Prandelli: "It was a difficult game and a precious point
against a compact squad. We had less scoring opportunities than usual, but
perhaps were held back by the state of the pitch. In terms of character, I
liked the way my team played."
