Police have charged 16 fans over trouble at Manchester United's clash with Roma 
at Old Trafford. 
Twelve English fans and four from Italy are charged with offences including 
possession of a bladed weapon, public order and criminal damage. 

The English fans - from Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire, Northampton 
and London, are due before magistrates next Wednesday. 

Another man is still being questioned and three were released without charge. 

A 25-year-old man from Chorlton, Manchester, was arrested for breach of a 
football banning order and has been bailed pending further inquires. 

Trouble flared before the Champions League match at United's ground on Tuesday 
night. 

Match investigated 

A total of 21 arrests were made before the game and no trouble was reported 
inside the stadium. 

United won the match 7-1. 

Luis Gormez de Teran, 26, of Via Val Maggia, Rome, is charged with possessing a 
bladed weapon and Alession Sciarra, 27, of Via Termin, is charged with 
possessing a weapon. 

Cilar Lanciani, 21, of Dolocatelli, Guidonia, and 20-year-old Andrea Spinelli, 
of Piazzo Americo, Rome, are charged with public order offences. 

The English fans charged with public order offences are: Daryl Food, 45, of 
Andalen Close in Burnley; Brendan Doherty, 44, of Thruckston Drive, 
Northampton; Gary Samson, 24, of Clyne Street, Stretford; 26-year-old Gareth 
Riddell, of Thirsk Avenue, Sale; Steven Carver, 46, of Newark Nook, London and 
Nicholas Stoker, 34, of Oxford Way, Stockport. 

Two 16-year-old boys, one from Warrington and one from Northampton, were also 
charged with public order offences. 

Sasan Nikkhah, 23, of Brookfield Avenue, Stockport and 46-year-old Kevin Holt, 
of Leander Drive, Rochdale are both charged with affray. 

Paul Booth, 37, of Banks Street, Manchester, is charged with possession of a 
bladed weapon and 40-year-old Brendan Raid, of no fixed abode, is charged with 
criminal damage. 

The England fans are due before Trafford magistrates on 18 April, and the 
Italians were due to appear at Manchester City Magistrates Court on Wednesday. 

Uefa is to investigate the trouble from the first leg of the United and Roma 
match last week in Rome, which could lead to disciplinary action for both 
teams.

Trafford aman dan nyaman....cuma ya Ultras roma terpaksa gigit jari sambil 
dengerin chant fans Unieted yg menyindir abis membuat kuping para ultras merah 
padam.....tp gak di lempar2 apapun....
  padahal tempat duduk Old Trafford sangat terbuka....tempat duduk away 
supporters hanya di batasi dg ketat oleh para stewards yg menjaga berkeliling, 
dan para supporters United tdk ada yg melakukan lemparan2 ke arah Ultras 
Roma....

  peace....dan bantai dilapangan saja....
