After weeks of stalemate a deal is close between Frank Lampard and his
current club ending speculation of a move away from Stamford Bridge.
Lampard had been linked with a cut price move to Barcelona but it now
seems almost certain that he will stay with Chelsea next season.
The People newspaper claims Lampard has agreed the terms of a £125,000
a week contract with the Blues and will put pen to paper in the next
ten days.
The paper quotes a source close to Lampard as saying:
"The two sides are very close. The signs are everything will be sorted
within the next week or so."
