Kaka may need surgery
Milan's Brazil international playmaker Kaka may require an operation on his
left knee, according to reports in Brazil.
The 26-year-old has been troubled by the knee for some time and it has now been
decided to investigate the problem further.
Kaka will be examined by Brazil team doctor Jose Luis Runco on Friday in Rio de
Janeiro to decide whether he will have to undergo surgery.
"Milan communicates that Kaka will undergo a specialist examination in Brazil
to verify the condition of his left knee," read a statement on the club's
official website.
If the World player of the Year does require surgery then he would be out of
action for just over two weeks, meaning he could miss upcoming friendlies
against Canada and Venezuela.
Kaka, who was recently denied by Milan from taking part in the Olympic Games,
could also miss next month's World Cup qualifiers away to Paraguay and at home
to Argentina.
