Milan Are The Strongest Club In The World – Silvio Berlusconi
The Italian Primer Minister believes that the Rossoneri are still a
class above the rest.

A number of Italian sides have made some significant moves on the
transfer front this summer, most notably Juventus and Inter, two clubs
that have strengthened their respective line-ups.

Milan on the other hand, have failed to bolster their squad ahead of
the new campaign to this point, as they have lost their coach Carlo
Ancelotti, their star player Kaka, and their captain Paolo Maldini to
retirement.

Despite this though, Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi,
believes that the Rossoneri are still the strongest club in Italy and
in the entire world for that fact.

“We were and still are the number one team in the world,” Berlusconi
told Telelombardia in a recent interview.

“We are in a strong position at the moment, with a new coach and a
good mix of players.”

When questioned about the potential departure of Andrea Pirlo to
Chelsea, Berlusconi responded by stating that he knew nothing about
the move.

He continued, “I know nothing about Pirlo leaving this club, so we
don’t need to worry about that.”

His comments are sure to spark some controversy, in the lead up to the
2009/10 Serie A season, which gets underway on August 22/23.
