Worked around it... got total days in the month using:

[else]
[if* equal {(time '{:calMonth}/1/{:calYear}' '%h')} {(time
'{:calMonth}/29/{:calYear}' '%h')}] 29 [else*] 28 [if*]

It'd still be nice to know how to do the mod though.
