Hi Dan, 2.46 introduced a new feature that change code.skinvars to code.snippets. I have some ideas about this.
There are two different things inside "code.skinvars". One is true variables, say, Name; another is, I don't know how to name it, maybe snippets is the exact word. All of these things can be used in skins as well as in normal pages to display specified content. How about separating these two kinds of things as variables and zones? "Login" can be "zone.login", "search" can be "zone.search", "footer" can be "zone.footer"... The most benefit is if user want to change footer, just open "zone.footer" to change it. Comparing the logic to open "code.snippets" and find the "Footer:" to change. Zones contain contents. They occupy a certain area. In this case, login, search... can be zones no doubt. Just a thought.
