I can't help or test this UTF encoding thing; I don't even understand it, BUT, if it is achievable, then I vote it as the priority feature above other features.
Seems like Hans and Dan are "in the zone" on this right now, and Linly has got the testing covered, so I vote go...go...go.... as long as that 3 man team keeps at it! I vote it be the DEFAULT. I won't know the difference but the rest of the world will. Sorry I can't help, but I think you are onto a very important milestone here, and looks like you are real close! Good Luck.
