This is correct. Not only displayed on any page, but any page can be
added to the blog. It assigns pages you want in the blog an info value
on info.blog (I think), and then generates the blog output via a
simple info report. Very smart. So you can structure your site any way
you wish, and then add any page to the blog from anywhere. You can
also add or remove pages easily, by editing your info.blog page
manually.

Haven't tested it personally, but there should be no issues. Linly's
plugin does not involve any php files--it's all core code. The only
changes made in switching at last to 3.xx was internal. IE, only
custom php scripts would be affected (plugins, config, skin).
