My trusted 2.68 installation suddenly stopped indexing after 5 months. Maybe it is the filesize. About 7.500 files were indexed when it stopped, so the index file grew up.
Unfortunately I cannot get it to work again, even after moving some 1.000 files out of the pages folder. With 2.68 untouched the site.index.list will not be built. After an instant upgrade just for indexing site.index.list will be built, but the index does not fill up. Creating a new index does not help either. Could this be a server problem? Does indexing depend on some server or php parameters? BTW: I have some scripts that run a couple of math operations on data values inside the index file. Even with 7.500 files indexed, each with about 10 data fields, the scripts run speedy. No bottleneck on this side. But I need the index to keep this thing going.
