Start a thread talking about skins.

I think you (or someone, maybe even me) should create a skin that
duplicates the original format. It took a while to figure out how to
create a new one from scratch so that I could just plug it in and use
it.

Most of the existing skins were too radical of change for starting out
so I wanted to start with the original skin so I could understand how
it worked.

That then gives someone a play box to experiment with using the
original look and feel. If they don't like where it is going, they
could turn the skin off and be back where they started. They could
even remove the other skin completely.

My original sin with the system was that when I started I didn't know
how stuff worked, so I actually changed some code directly in the farm/
barn areas outside of the system which is one of the reasons why I am
thinking now of doing a fresh install and just moving over the the
pages I did and work the system as I should have been from the
beginning.

In some cases, I don't know what I tinkered with.

Most of the forums work in that you can make a copy of an existing
theme which is then installed. That lets you play with it without
messing up the original. I know the concept is different because in
this system, you can undo the changes... the caching takes a little
getting used to.
