Thanks for the info...

In this case, the wiki would be used to replace a current forum which
is used to document all kinds of stuff. Information put between
<code></code> would be anything from C, shell, php, java, javascript
etc... as the wiki will be used by staff in all areas as a place to
document what they are doing.

The vast majority of examples however would be showing procedure
processes which would be some form of shell (ksh, bash) etc.. Like
how to setup ZFS pools, expanding filesystems, correcting a veritas
configuration, setting up NTPd, name server conf setup etc...

Note that \n was in a code example (ie typed in a \ then n), not
output enter by the user.

>From the users side would simply put <code> and paste whatever code it
is they are documenting followed by </code> with no thought of having
to format the output so it will display correctly. They don't need to
do that in the forum now.

I had planned on using a modified version of GUI buttons to make it
easier for the transision between the forum and the wiki to allow for
that.

Currently they use two methods to do that in the forum. [tt] ... [/
tt] and
..
. Both are similar except that TT allows
some formatting and is not boxed. This way they could highlight code
snippets like:

[tt]
# df -k /share
Filesystem kbytes used avail capacity Mounted on
/dev/md/dsk/d101 3050838 3089 2986747 1% /share
[/tt]

Which would output the first line with bold around the command, and
the rest showing the results of the command.

One change that I am going to have to make is replacing the ----- as
as way too many examples have that in the output. It is a very
unix like thing to have lots of dashes in the output especially
network stuff.
