Here is the problem. In 3.2.6 $ are saved as $. Earlier, they were
saved as $.  If you open up action.plugins (system file) and look
for the $ and change it to $ it will start working again. You
could also edit and save action.plugins, but then you get a local
copy--and the system file remains unchanged.

I'm afraid there may be other glitches like this one, exactly, but
hopefully not too many.
