So this morning while I am up baby sitting a sick server at work again... I decided to copy over one of my BW sites to an account I have setup using a very low cost provider... $10 a year is next to free in my book.
The provider is used a lot by weather related sites and caters to family websites. $10 a year actually gets you a lot, including PHP5, MySQL5, email, etc... but they don't however provide crontab support. I've had the account for about 3 years and use it to occassionally support some of the weather hobbyist that use the site with some code snippets I've written. In any case, it took me longer to find the userid and password to the account than it took to upload a copy of the site. A slight change to the index.php and .htaccess file to enable CleanURL's and bam... the site was there, completely, in whole, working... Actually, it took me longer to write this than upload and activate the site.. Pretty amazing... --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "BoltWire" group.
