Probably, here's a couple options to try: [^regulations.pdf label='img:pdf.png'^]
or [[http://sitename/field/files/regulations.pdf|img:pdf.png]] or even [[http://sitename/field/files/regulations.pdf|[^pdf.png^] ]] (the space may be needed) Let me know if any of these don't work. I can look into it and try and get them to. Logically, any of them should...
