Okay, my site gets indexed using site.index and the *. Thanks for
this. Also, when I now delete the index, it gets rebuilt properly just
by using action.search. No idea how I previously maneuvered my site
into this non-indexing state.

[(index)] has lost all of its past purpose, right?
