I don't actually know if it's valid, but the tabbar plugin uses it to
good effect. Perhaps the # isnt needed att all, I don't known.
I'll run some tests tomorrow. If it doesn't hurt to make the change, I
suggest we go through with it anyway. It's a wierd bug, valid or not.

I use ` to escape line returns in a sidebar where I check many
different group memberships.
When I upgrade, ` no longer escapes line returns. I found no simple
way of making the layout work without them.
