Currently the toc function indents a number of spaces based on the
number of
periods in the file name.

This works well if the "group" includes top level files but what i
would like to
do is modify the funtion so that the number of periods that are common
among
all of the search results are subtracted from the "leader".

So if the search results contained:

one.two
one.two.something
one.two.next
one.two.blah

since 1 period is common among all of the results, 1 would be
subtracted from
the leader for each item.

The end result would be that when one.two is displayed, it would not
be indented
and the remaining results would be indented 1 time rather than two
times.

If the function is called for each search item/listing it might be
easier to
pass an additional parameter to the function which would be the group
being
searched which could then be used to calculate the number of periods
that need
to be subtracted from the leader.

I have been looking at the toc function and hope that this would be an
easy
modification. I thought that i would ask for some feed back on this
idea before
attempting the change myself as my php experience is limited.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
