Hi All! Thanks to a generous donor, I was able to take some time off from my normal job and put my whole attention on BoltWire. Over the last four days I've invested about 60 hours (yeah, you read that right) going through and basically rewriting almost all our documentation.
To make sure I got the docs right, I did a line by line review of the code and feature by feature testing. As a result, it ended up being a major code review as well. Just now I've uploaded the results. First, consider downloading version 4.12. I won't post the changelog here because it is quite long. But it includes several security patches (one important), a good number of minor bug fixes, several minor changes to how BoltWire works, and a long list of new features (some quite cool). For the most part it should be a painless upgrade. BoltWire's still very much the same--it's just leaner and meaner than ever! In fact--10% smaller. We're back under 100K! So read the changelog and upgrade! Second, check out the new docs. I've restructured everything and written close to 70 new pages, most of them quite long and detailed. Also, I've indexed everything and setup a nice search bar right on the docs page. Very happy with how it turned out. Most of the old docs are still available in the new Community Notes section, and there's about 150 pages in the Test Area with demo's of all kinds of things. It's just a sandbox area, but it's worth glancing through on occasion. There's still more work to do. I was not able to update the functions yet, and the old forms docs need to be reworked. There's also more concepts pages I want to review and bring in from the Community Notes area, but I've made a good start. If anyone want's to help tweak the docs further, just let me know! Special thanks to the developer who made this project possible! Cheers, Dan -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "BoltWire" group.
