I for one agree with you Marko as to sticking to Bookcrossing
topics...i.e. BOOKs. I'm sure we all have other groups to chat in
about other and personal issues. It's so easy to get lost in a thread
like smoking, weight, etc. I'm as guilty as the next and will try to
keep it bookish! Linda/CT

the worst. Chances are that the person is a rat, but truth be told
you are a little daft if you in truth expect to get the book back in
the end. Instead, imagine the worst, what if that person is depressed
at the moment 8 months is nothing (believe me from personal
experience I can tell you depression can last 8 years and more). I
personally can attest to one situation where I had the oppotunity to
lend Harry Potter I to somebody. He took 8 months to read it, not
because he was stupid nor illiterate (regular telegraph reader) but
had actually never read any fiction since leaving school at 14, so
found it difficult. Now upto roughly a book a month and loving it.

Imagine someone trying to beat a drug habit and trying to raise money
legally and selling books they get on the free to eat. Imagine
someone with a drug habit not robbing your grandmother because thay
have sold thebook you sent them.

(I collect Booker prize first editions, would not in a million years
release one of these)
