I guess some of the points people are missing is that WW has amassed a large amount of books and is still PMing people for more books. 1. If her rings/rays TBR is so high, why is she requesting more books? 2. Many on the forum said that they PM'd WW regarding the status of books and the PMs went unanswered. 3. Many of the BC books are marked "permanent collection". She said she asked for permission and a few said she did not. Karry, I understand where you are coming from and you were gracious enough to post on your bookshelf why you weren't reading much right now. Hope things get better for you soon! Marko, we have always talked about a variety of topics on this group. We've even had flaming wars over it. Were you here during the tampon fiasco? I believe we decided to play nice and that in the future we would mark such topics as OT in the subject line, that way people like me can delete those messages without reading them. And yes, some of us DO expect to get our bookring books back! We trust our fellow BCers to send them back. They promised to do so. And do you really think we would send out a first edition rare book? Really? I think weeblet posted on the forum as a last resort. I think it was more of a heads up to other bcers. I'm frustrated too. Sixteen months ago I signed up for Shop Girl bookray, http://bookcrossing.com/journal/603432. It has been stuck at Grace327's house since 8/30/03. March 31, 2003 started the Sent by Earth bookray, http://bookcrossing.com/journal/568124. It has been stuck at kalipriestess's house since 2/9/04. Does anyone know what is going on with Kali? I've tried PMing her for other bookray/rings and received no answer. People in the forums are looking for her too. There were other stalled bookrays that I just got fed up about and deleted. So, when you have someone like WW that is doing this to many, many people, maybe you can understand the negative karma in the forum posts. Time will tell. And I'm not all words and no action. A BCer I "met" in the chat room was/is having financial problems and books were sitting. I sent her cash to get them moving. Can you believe it Marko? I sent cash to a perfect stranger. All but two of the books were mailed. We are generous (to a fault?). That's why people are reacting they way they did. Everyone, have a great day/night. ~Sissyrun~
