Re: I'd STILL rather READ the book. With Mystic River, I saw the movie, not having read the book, and really enjoyed it. ---- I always like reading a book first. When House of Sand and Fog came out we saw the trailer & immediately asked for the book for Christmas. We ended up not seeing it in the theater but renting it because I had to read it first. Both book & movie were great but serious tear jerkers, by the way. I recently saw The Runaway Jury. I had read it years ago. I found it very interesting that they shifted the case from antitobacco to antigun. Guess they felt that more people would sympathize with antigun? Personally I sympathize more with antitobacco but either I'm OK with, basically. I mean, you certainly can't make cigarette smoking illegal (at least not very easily.) And I also have to admit that it would be extremely hard if not impossible to get all the guns off the American streets. For those British BCers, does this really work there? Are you relatively sure that your fellow citizens don't own guns? How does that work? How many of you know people who have procured guns on the black market or whatever?
