hello the books from australia are very different to the most read or favourite books in germany (I'm from germany) they are also shown in a tv show german top books: 1. Lord of the Rings (J R R Tolkien) 2. Holy Bible 3. Pillars of the Earth (Ken Follett) 4. The perfume (Patrick Sskind) 5. The little prince (Antoine de Saint-Exupry) 6. Buddenbrocks (Thomas Mann) 7. The physician (Noah Gordon) 8. Der Alchimist (Paulo Coelho) don't know in english 9. Harry Potter and the sorcerer's stone (J K Rowling) 10. Die Ppstin (Donna W. Cross) don't know in english, it's the female form of pope :) I really like all of this books, but I must admit that I haven't read the alchimist at all, but I will :) I'm really sorry for my english but I'm not used to need it very often best wishes fnig Pride and Prejudice was my favorite book as a teenager -- I'll be 61 next January 1st -- and I was terribly in love with Darcy. Wasn't it Colin Firth who played him in a TV series? He's gorgeous.
As a matter of fact, and totally OT, Love, Actually has become one of my favorite films. I would have serious problems if I could choose one of the actors. Probably, it would be Alan Rickman or Liam Neeson. Alicia Vicki <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: The ABC's 'My Favourite Book' show on TV has announced Australia's Top 10 favourite books.
