There are several Australians on the OOo list, who might have books that they could put on their BC bookshelves and trade with you. I'm thinking of Pia Smith, who is the president of Linux Australia; Jean Hollis Weber, who is active on the OOo list, and is also an author of one of the OOo books; Jacqueline McNally, who is the marketing lead for OOo; and Alex Fisher, who is also active on the OOo list. I will be forwarding this email to them, and suggesting that they might want to become members of BC, so that they could put books up on their bookshelf to trade with people. I haven't yet checked out the bookshelf idea, but I guess the idea is that we here at BC will announce books that we have that others might want to share, and then we somehow arrange to get those books to our fellow members, right? I'm gonna cruise the bookshelf page today, and figure it out. But yes, I will be releasing books into the wild in San Francisco, primarily. Maybe I will go to Oakland to release, but that is across the bay, and I'm probably not going to be making the 30 minute trip across the bay anytime soon. So it will be SF. > > :-) > > I don't work for OpenOffice either, I just think it's the best > thing since sliced bread and the fact that it's totally free is > pretty cool. Yeah, there is a really strong crossover benefit here between OOo and BC. > > Cheers! > Flitterby / Gaelyne > > http://bookcrossing.com/mybookshelf/flitterby ------------------------ Yahoo!
