LOL - DS = dearest son, DD = dearest daughter! My three have all had a learning disability that makes text response assignments a huge challenge, which is a shame because their english classes use these a lot! If they could choose their own text it would be more enticing. Must say though, i was always the kid who finished the book the day it was assigned: usually before the poor teacher had a chance to finish the assignment questions!
I always plan to read the texts my kids are assigned but never get motivated (great example!) Too many other books TBR! I haven't seen the movie. I hope to see it soon. The book was fairly good though. And I'm with your "DS" (I'm assuming thats short for Daughter?) on text reading. Its evil. Though I dont find reading difficult in the least - but I still hate text. I took a Sociology class this year (I'm in High School but taking Univeristy classes on the side) and that text was the absolute most boring thing in the world. -Michael On Thu, 6 Jan 2005 10:18:02 +1100, Yvette O'Dowd <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I'll keep you in mind, my DS almost 14 has to read The Outsiders this year > for school.
