Some religious issues are just wrong, not a heressy. His portrayal of the Opus Dei monk shows a total lack of knowledge of what we call in Spain "la Obra". They have no monks and most of the priests and nuns dress as "civilians"; there is one in the Opus Residence in the buiding that faces my own home that wears the "robe" (?), though. And Brown's knowledge of Spanish Geography is nil. He puts Andorra -- a small Pirineos country, half Spanish half French -- near Marseilles. And I can tell you the only water you see over there is the Valira River and the Engolasters lakes. It's as if he had adapted to Andorra -- where, by the way, there isn't a jail as the one Brown depicts -- to the reason for which Santillana del Mar is called the village of the 3 lies: because it is not holy, it is not flat and there is no sea. Well the sea -- Cantbrico -- is not really that far. Alicia
