Thanks to all who took the time to respond to my plea for advice and opinions as to what book I should try for my first attempt at organizing a bookring. Of the 10 books I listed that I have from Cliff's top 100 there was a clear favorite. And the winner is............ "The Time Traveler's Wife". There were a few votes for other books and if this ring goes well I may offer those up too when I get around to reading them. As for opinions on my Mt. TBR there was no clear favorite so I'm still thinking about that one. Opinions are still welcome. I have about 50 pages left in the book I'm reading and will then start Time Traveler's Wife. So if you want to be included in my first ring PM your name and address and whether you will ship international. My rules, which are pretty blatantly stolen from jamieh2003 and others are as follows: When you get the book make a journal entry so I know where it is. If you don't think you can finish it in 30 days, send it on and PM me to re-add you to the end, if you still want to read it. PM the next person on the list before you send it on in case they are no longer interested or don't think they can make the 30 days. When you have actually mailed the book PM the person you mailed it to so they will know it should be there in a reasonable amount of time. If the book appears to be lost in the mail, let me know. This is a paperback book but one of the larger ones and is 518 pages so it will cost more than $1.42 that most paperbacks do. Actually looking at the length of the novel maybe I better let you have 60 days to read it. I didn't realize it was that long until I just looked. Anyway, try to keep it moving. At this point I'm not putting a limit on the number of participants but I'll keep that as an open option. Keep in mind I have not read this book yet so I have no idea if all the hype is deserved. I'll let you know. And if any of the other big time ring leaders have any words of advice for me I'll be more than glad to hear them. Thanks to all. Susan AKA LyekkaMarengo
