Jane Smiley writes another novel that once again is in a completely different setting than all of her others. This author has a tremdous range. I am impressed every time I read one of her books, and obviously I am a big fan. A book about human weaknesses, greed, relationships, real estate development and con artists. Serious subject but with a light touch.
