I seem to ejoy reading (and cats) as much as the next BXer, but here's
my problem. My kids. Once the baby is down for a nap, assuming that
I'm not joining him (lol) I can usually curl up with a book or
two...then...along comes big sister...and it usually goes something
like this:

"mom, whatcha reading?"
"my book."
"whatsit 'bout?"
"blah blah" ---->VERY short overview of whatever book I'm reading.
"Where's the pictures?"
"It doesn't have any."
"Can you read it to me."
"Sure...."
"mom, this book is Boring! Can you read me (mikey mouse, barney at
the zoo, or x amount of other brainless books that have been read a
million times)."

I usually try to coerce her into "reading" to herself (she is only 3),
but it usually doesn't work....

*sigh* I guess I'll just have to look forward to when they're both in
school and I have some 'quiet time'
