Hi,
Just signed up to the email group - and I am wondering if there are any
book publishers who register all or most their books with bookcrossing.com yet?
The reason I'm asking is because I volunteer for a Thai book publishing org
which prints multi-lingual translations of the biographies and teachings of the
Thai Buddhist forest meditation masters of the 20th/21st century, and the org
prints all its books for free international distribution. This year, it is
going to register anywhere from 30 000 to 50 000 books with bookcrossing.com -
and most likely more so the next year.
Several months ago, I found out about bookcrossing.com while searching on
the net for non-red-tape ways to get hardcover copies of a biography into
Western libraries (an impossible feat until a few Bookcrossing newsletters ago
explaining clever ways how to get a bookcrossing book into libraries), and
since then have come to see that the greatest non-red taped library is
bookcrossing.com. If we are the first charitable book publisher to see the many
advantages of teaming up with bookcrossing.com, I am almost certain we won't be
the last, for their are many publishing orgs who print high quality books for
free distribution on the history of all the many forms of Buddhism and the
meditation masters that arose within them - and who will most likely see the
advantages of registering their books with Bookcrossing.com. Anyways, after
reading the most recent newsletter mentioning the griping and groaning of
Caroline Michel of Harper Press who says that BookCrossing is a potential
publishing Napster - I thought I'd say that there are some book publishers who
very much appreciate Bookcrossing.com. Thanks

Sincerely,
Aaron
