If it was this one ( http://www.bookcrossing.com/journal/2577734/1 )
then "where it belongs" is with you! You can go to
http://www.bookcrossing.com and make a journal entry using the BCID
that's written inside the book, to let the person who released it
know that it's been found. (If you're not interested in reading it
yourself you could just leave it where you found it, or give it to a
friend, or whatever you like. You can explain all that in a journal
entry, too, or if you're not interested in knowing where the book
goes next, just leave it somewhere and consider your work done!)

If the book you found does NOT have a BookCrossing label in it, and
has no owner's name or other identifying information either, then I'd
suggest taking it to the lost & found department. Not as much fun as
BookCrossing, of course!
