Glad to know I'm not the only one who totally disliked
Alexandra.  My boss tells me that Harper Lee based her
characters in this book on people she grew up with. 
Unfortunately, that probably means that Alexandra was
based on a real person.  Ugh!

Never thought to name a cat Atticus.  That has
potential!  As both a cat owner and a foster parent
with a humane organization, I will consider doing
this.

Genie, I totally disliked Alexandra too and was sorry
to see her move in toward the end of the book ... ugh.
 I'm sure there was a point to that, just as there
must have been one for Jack who also wasn't in the
movie.

I like the name Atticus too.  Online, there is a
journal and on Fridays I sometimes see pictures of a
cat named Atticus, wondered if it's your journal,
Holly?
