We have 'Friends of the Library', which is made up of volunteers. They go through all the books (donated privately and from the library), and price them, then put them on the racks in the foyer of the library. This way, no time is being taken up by the librarians to sell the cast offs. All of the books sold are on an honor system. You put your money in a little collection box. All of the money goes to the library. I just love buying my books from them. In fact, you could say I'm somewhat addicted to it. I've even seen boxes of freebies. I think it's horrible that any library would trash books. Patti
