| What is the Persian Pickle Club and The Secret Life of Bees? | _The Persian Pickle Club_ is about a group of women in Depression-era Kansas. They quilt at each other's houses once a week. "Persian Pickle" is a kind of fabric, IIRC. Mostly a story about friendship but there's a bit of a mystery there, too. _The Secret Life of Bees_ is about a young girl, 13 or so I think, who is looking for information about what happened to her mother, so she runs away from home with her friend/nanny and searches out a place she knew her mom visited. She finds more than she was searching for. It's a very sweet story.
