I enjoy reading Stephen King's books then and now but there are
definitely some I would not read again and just flat out didn't care
for. The gross factor in some of the books just gets to me a little
-- like Gerald's Game. I really liked Dolores Claiborne a lot but
didn't care for Rose Madder -- those were the ones he wrote about the
same time? I liked the Regulators but was totally lukewarm toward
Desperation.

About the Gunslinger series ... he wrote the first book a long time
ago. I found it to be kind of weird but it seemed like he was never
going to get around to the rest of them. It took a couple of years
for the second book and then the third. Then it was bam! every time
I turned around, a new one in the series came out. I guess he put all
of his energy into it. I liked some books in the series but not all.
I haven't read the last book yet.
